What We Believe

Our beliefs are deeply rooted in the Bible and our doctrine is based on what the Church of the book of Acts preached.

Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone. Ephesians 2:20

  • We believe in God

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as Father; through His Son, in redemption; and as the Holy Spirit, by emanation.

Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!  Deuteronomy 6:4

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. I Timothy 3:16

  • we believe in the Bible

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. II Timothy 3:16

  • We believe in Jesus Christ

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8

  • We believe in the plan of Salvation

The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.

We obey the gospel by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (resurrection).

Then Peter said to them: Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

  • We believe in Christian living

As Christians, we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly and worship God joyfully.

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14

  • we believe in the second coming of Jesus

Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death.

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7
